Kitnetic Technology Advisors provided AI advisory and technical due diligence support to Axum, an Afrocentric impact consultancy, as part of the Grand Challenges - Global South AI Community of Practice, an initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Program

‍The Global South AI Community of Practice brings together over 100 AI innovators across 24 countries who are using AI to address challenges in health, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, gender, and climate resilience. The program, supported by Grand Challenges, an initiative launched in 2007 by the Gates Foundation, is managed by Axum and aims to support innovators developing locally-driven AI solutions for low and middle-income countries.

Our Work

‍We provided AI advisory and due diligence across four innovators on the African continent, reviewing their use of AI and LLMs in medical and social settings. The engagements were led by Thomas Remmert and James Sanders, with Alberto Polleri leading the AI investigations and contributing deep domain expertise in LLMs and GenAI.
