Alberto Polleri, PhD - Yarvis

Alberto Polleri is a very experienced leader in technology, with 30+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, AI, and associated product development and operations. He has led business organisations, and taught advanced concepts in math, statistics, and machine learning. He focusses on solving problems in practical, customer-oriented ways. 

His work has included tackling complex mathematical modelling challenges and developing products and solutions in areas such as financial credit risk, fraud prevention, KYC/AML, retail, accounting, HR, sales and marketing, healthcare, F1 racing, sailing, automotive and renewable energy. He enjoys creating well-engineered, scientifically grounded products with robust operational infrastructure and effective monitoring systems.

Currently he is is CEO of YARVIS Technologies, a software consulting firm focussed on all things AI. Previously, he has been Oracle’s first global Chief Data Scientist and has build Experian’s Data Lab in EMEA, after a rewarding academic career. His professions enabled a multi-cultural experience in the UK, USA, Germany, Denmark and Italy, where he was born and grew up.

Alberto holds a PhD in theoretical nuclear physics, has taught at the most prestigious universities, has been an executive at world leading corporations, is on the board of various startups and trustee of a London charity supporting local transportation.
