Quinlan Morake

Quinlan has 20 years of experience in software engineering. He started off developing occupational health software to monitor the health of miners and then went on to develop SMS gateway for telcos. Since then he has applied his engineering skills to a multitude of industries, developing as well as integrating systems in health care, telecommunications, insurances, voice recognition, group bookings and user analytics.

He has held three CTO roles at start-ups, while still being exceptionally close to source code. He is an extensively polyglot software engineer, proficient in Golang, C#, JS, C++, Java, and Python but has had hands-on experience with and easily reads, understands and writes in many other programming languages.

At Kitnetic Quinlan specialises in the deeper side of technologies: understanding complex protocols and algorithms; evaluating high throughput systems; conducting code reviews of even the most extensive code bases in a short amount of time; and assisting our clients with interviewing software engineers.
