James Sanders

James is an experienced technology leader and engineer with over 24 years in the software industry, combining deep technical expertise with a strong track record of delivering scalable platforms and building high-performing teams. He began his career developing automation systems for SMEs and enterprise clients including FRHI, the Ariel Motor Company, and Moshi Monsters. He later joined Fasthosts, where he focused on bridging the gap between modern and legacy systems, building critical tooling and modernising infrastructure. His work has since evolved into architecting and scaling SaaS platforms, working from the ground up to develop and scale production systems.

He has held multiple VP and CTO positions, always staying deeply engaged with the technology. James has led the development of distributed systems, event-sourced architectures, and cloud-native applications, contributing across the full stack. He has delivered robust production systems using C#, Go, PHP, TypeScript, JavaScript, Flutter, and Python. Equally passionate about DevOps and infrastructure, he is experienced with bare metal deployments, containerisation, cloud platforms, and modern software delivery practices.
