Dr. Samuel Bailey - Skyrad

Sam specialises in developing and evaluating novel algorithmic solutions to everyday problems using the overlap of AI, mathematical modelling and statistics.

Sam is the founder and CEO of Skyrad Ltd, an engineering innovator and consultancy specialising in the IoT, AI and Cleantech industries. Sam is the inventor of LeakBot, the world’s first clip-on leak detection system that can algorithmically detect water leaks in pipes; and Pippa, the world’s first thermal imaging stove monitoring system, as well as various novel image processing and pattern recognition algorithms. He has a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford, a PhD in Computer Vision from University College London and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.  Prior to founding Skyrad, Sam worked as a Systems Engineer for Motorola and a statistician for Willis Towers Watson and Prudential Insurance.
