Renato Cason

Renato is an experienced technology leader with nearly two decades of building and scaling software products, engineering teams and the platforms behind them. His experience spans e-commerce, fintech, travel and SaaS, working across organisations ranging from early-stage businesses to larger, rapidly scaling technology teams.

He has held multiple Head of Engineering and CTO roles, leading engineering organisations of more than 50 people and helping teams evolve their structure, delivery practices and technical capabilities as businesses grow. Renato remains close to the technology, with hands-on experience across TypeScript, Java, Python, Go and PHP, as well as infrastructure ranging from bare metal and containerised environments to Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud platforms including AWS and GCP. He combines deep engineering experience with a strong understanding of technical leadership, platform engineering, organisational design and the practical adoption of AI-assisted software development.

At Kitnetic, Renato brings a pragmatic, engineering-led approach to technical due diligence, combining hands-on technical depth with first-hand experience of leading and scaling engineering organisations. He focuses on understanding how technology, teams and delivery processes work in practice, and on translating complex technical risks and opportunities into clear, commercially relevant insight.
